Classica – Jean-Pierre Jackson
“We had not heard similar elegance since the wonders recorded by Art Farmer and Jim Hall.”
Vibrations ‐ Eric Delhaye
“His first album, Homes, has the virtue of the foundations: sank in Coltrane‘s legacy, compositions and interpretations are flawless.”
His debut album is the result of his four years’ stay in North America where he came in contact with young musicians from all over the world. While Jonathan is the leader of this quintet, each musician brings his own style and musical personality to the band. George Garzone, Jonathan’s mentor and one of his favorite musicians, also performs on the album.
While “home” most often appears in the singular, “homes” expresses the feeling of being at home everywhere, as long as there is music and a meaningful exchange among musicians. Although the tracks offer contrasting tempos and colors, the album maintains a sense of unity and continuity throughout.
